You have options.
  • Renew your vehicle registration (decals) online and save $1.
  • A $5 statutory fee is added to each vehicle registration renewal transaction conducted in DMV customer service centers. Avoid the $5 fee by renewing online, through the mail, over the phone (1-888-337-4782) or at a DMV Select location. Listen to our podcast, "Five reasons to avoid going to DMV".
  • More than 25 other transactions may be conducted online. Customers may renew their driver's license, purchase a copy of their driving record and more.

  •  Motorcycle road tests are not conducted at this Customer Service Center. To take a motorcycle road test please visit the Harrisonburg Customer Service Center, at 3281 Peoples Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801-7600

Directions:
From South: Follow I-81 North to exit 283 (Woodstock exit). Turn right onto West Reservoir Road at the end of the ramp. Proceed to second traffic light and turn left onto Main Street (Route 11 North). Continue through 4 traffic lights approximately 2 miles. After passing the Woodstock Shopping Center, DMV is located on the right at the crest of a hill.

From North: Follow I-81 South to exit 291 (Toms Brook). At the top of the exit ramp, turn left at the stop sign onto Mt. Olive Road (Route 651 East). Continue to first stop sign and turn right onto Old Valley Pike (Route 11 South). Continue through towns of Toms Brook and Maurertown approximately 4.5 miles. After passing Grubbs Chevrolet, turn left at the crest of the hill. DMV is on the right.
